The correct installation position of the pressure gauge of the hydraulic system should follow the following principles:

‌ Select the position of the pressure opening ‌ :

Avoid areas where pipes bend, bifurcate, and streams form vortices.

When there is a protruding object (such as a temperature measuring element) in the pipeline, the pressure opening should be taken in front of it.

When the pressure must be taken near the regulating valve, if the pressure opening is in front of it, the distance from the valve should not be less than 2 times the diameter of the pipe; If the pressure opening is behind, the distance from the valve should not be less than 3 times the diameter of the pipe.

For a wide container, the pressure opening should be in an area where the fluid flows smoothly and without eddy currents.

‌ Laying of connecting conduit ‌ :

The horizontal section of the connecting conduit should be inclined to facilitate the removal of condensed liquid or gas.

When the measured medium is gas, the catheter should be tilted towards the pressure inlet. When the measured medium is liquid, the catheter should be tilted towards the pressure meter.

When the measured parameter is a small differential pressure value, the tilt can be slightly larger.

If the pipe is in the upper and lower corners, the condensate device should be placed at the lowest point or the exhaust device at the highest point according to the medium in the pipe, so as to ensure that the accuracy of the measurement will not be affected by the accumulation of condensed liquid or gas in the pipe for a long time.

‌ Pressure gauge installation ‌ :

The pressure gauge should be installed perpendicular to the horizontal plane.

The direction of the instrument should face the direction that is easy to operate and easy to observe.

The end of the pressure source component should not exceed the inner wall of the equipment or pipe.

On the same pipe, the pressure is in the front, the temperature is in the back, and the hole distance is greater than or equal to 200mm.

Measuring points of measuring protection and automatic control instruments are not allowed to share the same measuring hole, mainly to avoid mutual influence during daily maintenance.

‌ Installation in special cases ‌ :

When detecting cloudy materials such as dust, solid particles, or sediment, install the source components on vertical and inclined equipment and pipes at an upward Angle, and install the material flow beam at an acute Angle on horizontal pipes.

When measuring the pressure of high-pressure fluid media, the pressure meter case should be oriented towards the wall or the place where no one passes to prevent accidents.

When measuring the pressure of corrosive media, in addition to selecting a pressure meter with anti-corrosion ability, an isolation device should also be installed.
